Justin Andrews was born in Melbourne in 1973. He is a geometric abstractionist whoes practice locates itself between painting, drawing, photography, and construction. He has been exhibiting since 2001, both locally and internationally.
Andrews graduated with a Bachelor of Visual Art (Hons) in 2000 and a Master of Philosophy (Visual Art) in 2003, both from the NITA, ANU, Canberra. A lecturer and tutor in visual art and design since 2005, he has held teaching positions at La Trobe Univeristy, Mildura and Tractor Design School, Melbourne. He has also established an independent publishing practice and undertaken a number of curatorial projects, including the recent touring exhibition, The Infinite Loop.
Andrews’ work is held in numerous private and public collections in Australia and overseas. He currently lives and works in Castlemaine, Victoria.
