ZAI KUANG

 

biography:

Zai Kuang holds a Masters degree in Fine Art from the Academy of Art and Design at Tsinghua Un iversity (China), as well as a Masters degree by Research from Monash University in Australia. His work has been presented in over 15 solo and 44 group exhibitions.

In Australia been selected as a finalist in the Archibald Prize, the Doug Moran National Portrait Prize, the Sulman Prize, the Fleurieu Art Prize, the Albany Art Prize, the Redland Art Awards, the Willoughby Art Prize, the R & M McGivern Art Prize, the Lexus Mortimore Art Prize and the A.M.E. Bale Art Prize. He has been awarded the Calleen Art Award and the Best Oil or Acrylic prize at the St. Kevin's Art Show. In China, he was a finalist in the National Young Artist Exhibition, the 8th National Art Exhibition, the 2nd National Still Life Exhibition and the National Sport Exhibition.

His works are held in various public collections including the Cowra Regional Art Gallery, BHP Billiton, Monash University, Macquarie University, as well as various private collections internationally.
